Samia Halaby at Outernet
Creative strategy
Creative production
I creatively produced a public art commission that brought the colourful abstract art of Palestinian-American artist Samia Halaby to the heart of London. The collaboration between Tate and Outernet London celebrated the opening of Electric Dreams at Tate Modern. The project premiered two new moving-image works by Samia Halaby, specially created for Outernet’s wraparound floor-to-ceiling screens, accompanied by music from acclaimed electronic musician Four Tet. One of the first artists to experiment with computer-generated art, Halaby’s vivid kinetic works were reimagined at monumental scale, transforming public space into an immersive, sensory environment. This ambitious activation introduced her practice to new audiences, extended the exhibition’s reach beyond the museum walls, and reflected Tate’s commitment to bold storytelling.
